Once a child's enrolment into prep has been confirmed for the following year, the school has a process of induction for the child and their family.
Prep Interview
During the last week of Term 3, each child is interviewed by one of our staff. This interview is approximately 15 minutes in length. The teacher and child work one on one, playing games, drawing and talking.
Prep Orientation
At the begining of Term 4, a parent information session is held. The Prep Orientation morning provides families additional information about the school and particular requirements for Prep.
During this time, students will be orgaised into class groups and have a moring session enjoying interactive activities in a classroom and the Prep precinct. Whilst the children are in the classrooms, parents meet with a member of the school administration for an orientation of their own.
Pre-Prep Play Group
The Pre-Prep Play Group sessions are one of the events available in Term 4. Children are invited to come and meet our staff and enjoy age-appropriate learning experiences in the classroom and playground. Children are able to immerse themselves in the school environment, becoming more confident and beginning to develop relationships with the teachers and other children.
