Prep

Once a child's enrolment into prep has been confirmed for the following year, the school has a process of induction for the child and their family.

Towards the end of term 3, a parent information evening is held.  At this evening, the teachers talk about the curriculum and expectations of prep.

During the last two weeks of term 3, each child is interviewed by one of the current prep teachers.  This interview is approximately 15 minutes in length.  The teacher and child work one on one, playing games, drawing and talking.

The final event is an orientation for the children in a prep classroom.  For two hours the children take part in a typical prep morning and also have a brief walk around the school.  Whilst the children are in the classrooms, parents meet with a member of the school administration for an orientation of their own.
